Artem A. Gazevech - Background & Experience

Artem Gazevech was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1984. His father was a skilled handyman, and his mother owned a small business designing and sewing custom clothing.  From a very young age, he had a strong interest in working with hand tools—especially anything involving wood. This passion followed him when his family immigrated to Canada in 1998.

After graduating from high school in 2003, Artem began his career as a carpenter, framing subdivision houses. He quickly advanced to working on high-end custom homes with a leading builder. In 2005, he transitioned into home renovations, gaining hands-on experience across nearly every trade—with a strong focus on finish carpentry.

In 2007, Artem joined the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve as a Combat Engineer - one of the most demanding and competitive military trades in Canada. His service instilled lasting values such as discipline, responsibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic - principles that continue to shape his professional life today.

While serving in the army, Artem also pursued education at George Brown College. He graduated in 2010 with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology and earned four additional certificates related to design and construction technology.

Following graduation, he spent a short time as an on-site assistant project manager for Mattamy Homes before refocusing his career path.

In 2011, Artem made a life-changing decision: to dedicate his professional life to mastering the art of custom cabinetry and closet organization. To become the best in the field, he worked with many of the top companies in the industry—moving from one to the next once he had absorbed all he could from each environment.

Driven by the philosophy, “The most effective and efficient way to gain the ability to deliver top-level service is to learn from the best,” Artem spent years working for 13 highly respected companies across the Greater Toronto Area and York Region—some of the most competitive firms in the cabinetry and closet industry. He even spent time working in Kyiv, Ukraine, gaining valuable insight into European design and construction techniques.

Gradually, through word-of-mouth referrals, Artem began building his own client base. Even as his business grew, he remained committed to continuous learning - reading, studying, and occasionally working part-time for other leading firms to further develop his knowledge and skills.

As of 2025, Artem has placed his military career on hold (since 2018—most likely permanently) to focus fully on the continuous improvement of Art of Organizing, as well as spending more time with his family. He lives in North York with his loving wife, Alyona, their 8-year-old daughter, and 5-year-old son.

To the best of his knowledge, Artem is the only business owner in the GTA and York Region who utilizes the entire first level of his residence - including the garage - as a fully integrated workspace, consisting of a workshop, office, and showroom. This setup reduces overhead costs by over $4,000 per month and is one of the key reasons his company is able to offer rates significantly below the industry average - while continuing to invest heavily in premium materials, products, and services.

Together, Artem and Alyona take great pride in creating elegant, functional spaces that enhance the everyday lives of their clients.

"I don’t believe perfection can be achieved on earth — but I do believe in daily effort, attention to detail, and the constant pursuit of being better than yesterday. This is my philosophy — and the foundation of Art of Organizing"
